It’s almost the end of our first week (the beams are going in tomorrow) and we have survived. It’s been relatively painless – god I shouldn’t say that should I. Although I do feel like a stiff drink at this very moment. Today I went and chose the light for over the bench…the big glass one …
We had a hiccup over the floor – we were hoping to use the existing ones but there is a 2m square concrete slab in the corner and it’s too hard to get out so we have gone with a new solid wood floor of Grey Ironbark. It looks fabulous but needless to say contingency fund is gone now!!
Cathy came round and helped me choose a colour for the walls – she is my friend I do all the classes with and she is also a Dulux colour consultant…I’ll keep the colour up my sleeve until the reveal….
