I adore flowers… I also adore a bargain and working some magic and making it into something else. So I went to one of my favourite stores – yes Kmart, and bought some of their silk flowers. I know some people don’t like artificial things but for me that is the challenge…how can i make them look beautiful. I broke all the sprays down and made a couple of wreaths. Here is the first and I love it.

I am going to use this one and the others to decorate my new studio, once they are up on the walls I will upload a photo of them all together. They were pretty easy to make. I used some floral tape and a glue gun. For the second I used a bunch of the native flowers.

I am going to work on my photo skills in the next week as I know images are “everything”. The third wreath included the silk peonies and the natives. I thought this was pretty fabulous too!!

I then got side tracked as I had some flowers left over, so I got some rope and make a head garland and worked a bit of magic on this and a plain headband.

Finally to celebrate Valentines Day I had to include some roses I took the heads off the bunch and stuck them, with really strong glue, on to a plain headband. Love it and i’m just wondering if I can get away with wearing this myself – probably not but I can dream.
